Missile
Servo
This is a typical missile-fin actuator design which utilizes
a simple motor / gear-train / ball-screw concept that is
adaptable to a wide range of flight-surface motion control
applications. Its simplicity utilizes few components, which
makes it reliable in the extremes of continuous duty-cycle.
The design is a typical missile-fin actuator used on various
conventional and cruise-type missile applications. Its high
torque output, frequency response characteristics and modular design
make it an ideal candidate
for adapting to various actuation applications. It is capable of continuous
and reliable operation
in extremes of shock and vibration, temperature and pressure environments
(-40° C to 70° C
and -50 ft to 55000 ft MSL), and full-scale extreme duty loads over
long periods of time. In
addition, the modular approach fits various UAV and UCAV platforms.
