fuel level for a tank is required for balance and to prevent

Fuel Level Sensing devices are intended to be used to
detect fuel levels. A single capacitance type, fuel level
sensor tank unit is installed in each auxiliary tank. The
fuel level sensing works in conjunction with other devices
to provide a check and balance system in the case of fuel
transfer.
